AeroLink Support
Welcome to AeroLink — the aviation-native platform built by pilots, for pilots. This page covers the fastest ways to reach us, the answers to the questions we hear most, and how to report a bug or request a feature.
Get help fast
Email: support@aerolink.one — typical response within one business day.
Beta feedback: Open the TestFlight app, select AeroLink, and tap Send Beta Feedback. Add comments and, when helpful, a screenshot. TestFlight shares the installed version, build, and device details with the feedback.
Critical issues during a flight or near safety: AeroLink is not a flight-operations system and must never be used for go/no-go decisions. If a critical issue occurs in flight, follow standard emergency procedures and your aircraft's POH. Notify us afterward by email.
Status page: aerolink.one/status — runs a live check of AeroLink's web, API, and managed-database services when you open it. If your issue is not reflected there, email support.
Frequently asked questions
Account & access
How do I join the AeroLink TestFlight beta?
If you're on the 104-pilot waitlist, you'll receive a TestFlight invitation email at the address you signed up with as we roll out external testing. Tap View in TestFlight on your iPhone, install the TestFlight app from the App Store if needed, then install AeroLink. Updates push automatically.
I signed up for the waitlist but didn't get an email.
Check spam first. If still missing after 48 hours of an announced rollout, email support@aerolink.one with the email address you used. We'll re-send.
Can I sign in with my existing Google or Apple account?
Yes. AeroLink supports Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, and email/password where available.
How do I reset my password?
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password. We'll email a one-time link valid for 60 minutes. If the email doesn't arrive, check spam. If still missing, email support — we can reset manually.
Privacy & data
Where does my flight data go?
Logbook entries, flight plans, currency tracking, and instructor notes are stored on AeroLink's secure managed PostgreSQL database in a U.S. region and are visible only to you and the instructors or aircraft owners you explicitly share with. Full detail in our Privacy Policy.
Does AeroLink sell my data?
No. We never sell, rent, or trade personal data. Read the full data-handling story in our Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Privacy & Safety → Profile Privacy, then Delete Account. Public profile fields and private logbook context are anonymized immediately, your sign-in credentials are destroyed at the same moment, and the account cannot be signed into again — deletion is not reversible, so make sure before you confirm. Deletion is then scheduled with a 30-day completion window. We delete personal data within 30 days of completion, except where law requires retention (financial records, abuse investigations) and the 14 CFR 61.51 logbook record fields that must be kept.
If you pay for a membership, deleting your account does not cancel it. Cancel an App Store membership in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or a web membership in Settings → Plan & Billing, before you delete.
How do I export my logbook or flight history?
Settings → Privacy & Safety → Profile Privacy, then Data Export. The export is a single JSON file covering your profile, posts, and flight logs. Export is fast for typical accounts; large accounts (5,000+ entries) may take up to 60 seconds. For a logbook file another app can import, use the CSV and PDF export buttons on the Logbook page.
Subscriptions & billing
Is AeroLink free?
The Free tier gives you the full social platform, basic flight map, weather/METAR for any U.S. airport, basic logbook, and Orville AI with daily limits. Paid tiers add expanded Orville usage, advanced map layers, currency tracking automation, marketplace selling, and instructor tools. Current prices are shown before purchase. iOS subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store payments; web subscriptions are billed through Stripe.
How do I cancel a subscription?
On iPhone: Settings (the iOS one, not AeroLink) → tap your name → Subscriptions → AeroLink → Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep paid access until then.
I was charged after cancelling.
Apple manages all iOS subscriptions and refunds. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, find the AeroLink charge, request a refund. If Apple denies a clearly mistaken charge, email us — we can flag it for review on our end.
Aviation features
Where does AeroLink's weather come from?
METARs and TAFs come from Aviation Weather Center (AWC), the official NOAA source. Updates are live; the timestamp on every weather card shows you exactly how fresh the data is. AeroLink will never display a weather observation older than its source without an explicit "stale" indicator.
Are AeroLink's airport facility, runway, and frequency data current?
Airport, runway, frequency, and procedure data is sourced from the FAA NASR (National Airspace System Resources) database and refreshed every 28-day FAA cycle. Each airport detail page shows the cycle date the data is current to.
Does Orville give go/no-go advice?
No. Orville is data-only on operational decisions. It will summarize METARs, compare conditions to your personal minimums, explain regulations, and surface the data you need — but the go/no-go call is yours. This is a deliberate safety boundary, not a limitation we plan to remove.
Does AeroLink work offline in the air?
Cached charts, your most recent flight plan, your personal minimums, and your logbook work offline. Live weather, traffic, and Orville require a connection. Full ADS-B receiver support (Stratus, Sentry) is on the post-launch roadmap.
Bugs & feature requests
I found a bug.
Best path: open the TestFlight app, select AeroLink, tap Send Beta Feedback, and add what you tapped, what you expected, and what happened. Include a screenshot when it helps show the problem; TestFlight attaches the installed build and device details. Alternatively, email support@aerolink.one with the same details.
I have an idea.
Email feedback@aerolink.one or tag a post on AeroLink with #feature-request. Every feature request goes into our roadmap-review backlog and is read by Brandon. Especially welcome: ideas grounded in a specific moment of frustration during a real flight.
A feature seems broken — is it actually broken or is my account on a different tier?
Check Settings → Profile → Account Type. If a feature is greyed out and the tooltip says "Pro", that's a tier gate, not a bug. If a feature is supposed to work on your tier and doesn't, email us.
TestFlight specifics
My TestFlight build expired.
TestFlight builds expire 90 days after upload. Open the TestFlight app — if a newer AeroLink build is available, install it. If not, an updated build is on the way; check back in a day.
The TestFlight app crashes on launch.
Force-quit, reopen. If it crashes a second time, email support@aerolink.one with the iOS version (Settings → General → About → Software Version) and the model (e.g., iPhone 15 Pro Max). Include "TestFlight crash" in the subject line so we can prioritize.
How often will I get new TestFlight builds?
During active beta we ship a build whenever a meaningful fix or feature is ready — typically 1–3 times per week. TestFlight notifies you on iOS when a new build is available.
